Presidential Decree 14/2016
A “Ordem de Timor-Leste” foi criada através do Decreto-Lei n.º 20/2009, de 6 de maio, para, com prestígio e dignidade, demonstrar o reconhecimento de Timor-Leste por aqueles,nacionais e estrangeiros, que na sua atividade profissional,social ou, mesmo, num acto espontâneo de heroicidade ou altruísmo, tenham contribuído significativamente em benefício de Timor-Leste, dos timorenses ou da Humanidade.
