Tetum, Portuguese, English and Bahasa Indonesia. Headsets and lanyards are free with every adult or student ticket. School groups can pre-book a guided talk in any of the four languages.

Personal photography is welcome in all permanent galleries — no flash, no tripods. Temporary exhibits are case-by-case; signage at the entrance to each room tells you. Commercial photography requires a permit (contact us).

All public galleries on the ground and first floor are level-access via two ramps and the main lift. The mezzanine is reached by a separate accessible lift — staff at the front desk will operate it.

Yes — groups of 10+ get a discounted educational rate and a 60-minute guided tour. Book at least 7 days ahead via WhatsApp. We can tailor the route to the curriculum (history, textiles, civics).

Both. The café serves Timorese coffee, fresh juices and light bites in the courtyard. The gift shop stocks fair-trade tais, books, prints and recordings — profits return to the artisan cooperatives.

  • 01 Personal photography is allowed in permanent galleries — no flash, no tripods. Temporary exhibits follow the signage at the room entrance.
  • 02 No food, drink, or chewing gum inside the galleries. The café courtyard and the front terrace are the designated eating areas.
  • 03 Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your visit. After that, advance-purchase tickets are refundable as SOTCoin only.
  • 04 On heavy-rain days (national weather warning level 2+), unused tickets are automatically refunded as SOTCoin within 48 hours — no claim needed.
  • 05 Group tours (10+ visitors) must be booked at least 7 days ahead so we can match you with the right guide and language.
  • 06 Lost property is held at reception for 30 days. After that, items are donated to local charities listed at the front desk.
