Duration: two days/one night. This tour is for all you heritage and history buffs out there. We will stay overnight in one of the country’s best hotels, literally inside an old Portuguese fort not far from the Indonesian border. It was here that one of the most well-known events of the Indonesian occupation occurred right at the beginning of the 24-year conflict. Along the way there are other reminders of Dutch and Portuguese occupations which we will stop and look at.
